The State of West Virginia revised guidance to allow skilled nursing centers to re-open to in-person visitors. Centers will follow the county alert system that is also being used to assess the spread of COVID-19 for county school systems.
Centers will fall into one of four re-opening phases (Green, Yellow, Orange & Red) and may begin welcoming visitors if they have had no active COVID-19 cases for at least the previous 14 days. While we look forward to welcoming visitors into our centers, we want to caution that this will initially be a slow process that includes limitations in order to protect the safety of all patients.
Following are guidelines that will be in place for all visitors during phase Green and Yellow when visitors are welcomed into centers:
- No more than two visitors allowed at the same time, by appointment only
- Visits will take place in a designated location outside patient rooms
- Time limitations may be imposed
- All visitors will be screened upon arrival
- Visitors must wear a mask or face covering, maintain 6 ft. social distancing; meaning no touching and use proper hand hygiene while in the center
- Visitors should enter through the main entrance to a waiting area and will not have access to any other part of the facility without staff escort
There is nothing we look forward to more than reuniting our patients with their loved ones. For more information on our Safety Promise and COVID-19 resources, click here.
Our Safety Promise includes a commitment to maintaining meaningful and thriving connections between patients, families and loved ones, and their Stonerise care team. To increase visitor access and support connectivity, even at times when our visitor policy is limited and for loved ones who are not able to be here in person, each of our skilled nursing centers now has televisit capability via Zoom.
